PRESS RELEASE

Avoid lineups!
Registration for Canada’s top event for the coffee and tea industry is now open

Date: June 27, 2012

The time is right to register for the Canadian Coffee & Tea Show, coming to the International Centre in Toronto on September 9 and 10. To avoid lineups to attend Canada’s biggest and most popular show for the coffee and tea industry, plan to get tickets now, before it’s too late.

The two-day show brings together independent coffee and tea retailers, restaurateurs, foodservice operators, chain operators, distributors and buyers to learn and share.

“More than ever, the conference portion will be brimming with educational workshops, interactive sessions and opportunities to learn from innovators who are leading the industry with new technology, new offerings and the latest and greatest in cafés,” says Russell Hoffman, general manager of Fulcrum Media, owner and producer of the show.

Workshops and seminars will cover such topics as running a profitable café, business evaluations on roasting-your-own systems, and the future of the café business with its evolving competitive challenges.

One of the highlights of the Canadian Coffee & Tea Show is the outstanding trade show, and this year boasts the largest number of exhibitors ever. “The trade show will be better than ever, with a lot more international presence this year,” says Michael Cronin, Fulcrum Media’s director of event sales. “As a sign of how international and cosmopolitan the show has become, for the first time in Toronto there will be exhibitors from Mexico, India and Indonesia.”

In addition, the show welcomes back the most popular event on the coffee lovers’ calendar, the Canadian Barista Championship. Streamed online from the show, the country’s best baristas – winners of Canada’s three regional barista championships – will compete for the chance to represent Canada next spring at the 2013 World Barista Championship.

You can see why it might be a good idea to register now, with so many good things brewing at this year’s Canadian Coffee & Tea Show.
